The Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) division administers and manages Precinct 4’s capital improvements program. The CIP program includes road expansion projects, traffic signals and intersection improvements and traffic management systems designed to improve mobility and air quality.

The CIP Division also oversees the Child Safety Fund which is designed to provide sidewalks complying with the sidewalk policy and school zone flashing warning signals in public school zones. To find out if your area meets the criteria for either of these programs, please click Sidewalk Policy or School Zone Flashing Warning Signals for the program’s requirements.

Funds from the 2007 bond referendum allowed the precinct to complete six Traffic Signal & Intersection Improvement (TS&II) projects in 2009 valued at $3,238,761. Construction of a seventh TS&II project valued at $1,027,701 is expected to begin in 2010.
