Commissioner R. Jack Cagle releases a bird that had been checked for mosquitoes by the Mosquito Control division of Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services. Commissioner Cagle visited the Mosquito Control division recently to learn about a comprehensive and nationally recognized program that protects the health and well-being of Harris County residents by preventing and controlling mosquito-borne diseases like West Nile virus and St. Louis encephalitis.
